2021.1 Patch 6 Release Notes

Description

This emergency release will address Issues Full Table performance where some clients are seeing time outs loading the table, a bug where Instructions fields do not show all the content, and a bug users can no longer link directly to the HelpDesk home page. Due to the impact on clients gaining access to their data either in the full table or Instruction text, these fixes will be deployed to production as soon as validation has been completed. 

Impact

IM-1044: Impacts clients with longer Plain Text/Instruction fields in Issues and Change Control modules

IM-1049: Loading times of the Issues and Change Controls Full Tables will be improved for all clients, but no changes or impacts on functionality

ZENQ-5154: Impacts those clients who were using the "?" icon in the top right corner of the application to link directly to the HelpDesk home page

This release is being managed through change control 301-29. We expect less than 30 minutes of downtime that will occur in non-peak hours (EST). 

Version Details

ZenQMS comprises a microservice architecture that breaks up large functions into smaller services. This reduces risk in the development and release process. As such this flagship release version is actually comprised of the releases of the individual services components. It is entirely possible for a component service to not change versions in a release cycle even if other components do. Here is the summary for this release.

ZenQMS Release 2021.1P6 contains the following “FixVersions”.  We use FixVersion as an internal versioning scheme for our modules/services and maintain them in Jira.

• ZENQ 22.6 - Flagship application and all other modules/components that are not Change Control, Issues, Tasks, Reports, or Settings

• MIG 3.2 - Import/Export Data service
• PDF 3.3 - PDF generation service
• Reports 2.2 - Reports Module
• TM 3.1 - Tasks Module
