Creating an OJT Event

An OJT event behaves like document training because it can be set to recurring training intervals, assigned to a training course, and you can force users to retrain. OJT events differ from group or personal events in one key way, they don't need to be formally approved to be assigned/used. The other critical point about OJT events is that users do not sign off on these events. OJT compliance is set by the organizer of the event (or a user with the correct permissions).

Creating an OJT Event

From the training module dashboard view drop down, select 'Training: Events'. Click add OJT event. Add a name and click create. The OJT event management/review window will open with the content and settings for the event.

Events can have up to 3 trainer/organizers; these users will be able to mark the trainees compliant. The topic name, description, user retraining interval and the training grace period days are editable. There is an option to add file attachments of items that are not in the account. Please note that the attachments are intended for reference purposes only. Linked items in the account can be added to the event; these links serve as references and are not assigned to users for training completion. Users are added to the event under the assigned trainees option and you can add comments to the event, if needed.

Assigning Users/Roles

Click on the manage assigned trainees option. From the drop down, add the users/roles for assignment. The information will populate in the data table below the drop down.

Marking Trainees Compliant on an OJT Event

Once the event/training has been completed and the user(s) have attended, the organizer can mark them as compliant. Users can be marked compliant by selecting the checkbox next to their name and selecting the group actions option.
