2020.3 Patch 5 Release Notes

Description

2020.3P5 is a continuation of the performance improvements deployed in 2020.3P4. This release will improve the performance of the Trainee Records: Groups table, Trainee Records: Whole Company table, Documents Archive table, and the Audits Full table. In some cases, users were experiencing very slow loading times or queries were timing out. This patch has improved initial loading times and sorting/filtering in all of these tables.

Impact

No action is required by users. Impact is limited to the tables and actions listed below. Users trying to perform the following actions will see faster loading times:

Trainee Records table - Whole Company View, sorting on Training Status 

Trainee Records table - Groups view, the initial loading of the table plus sorting by Supervisor or sorting by Site.

Documents Archive table - Initial loading of the table and keyword search

Audits Full table - Initial loading of the table and exporting to .csv

Documentation

This release is being managed through change control 301-22 and a full set of validation documents will be published after the release. An entire release record will be available for review after the release is completed, in the auditor share account.

We expect limited downtime that will occur in non-peak hours. 

Version Details

ZenQMS comprises a microservice architecture that breaks up large functions into smaller services. This reduces risk in the development and release process. As such this flagship release version is actually comprised of the releases of the individual services components. It is entirely possible for a component service to not change versions in a release cycle even if other components do. Here is the summary for this release.

ZenQMS Release 2020.3P5 contains the following “FixVersions”.  We use FixVersion as an internal versioning scheme for our modules/services and maintain them in Jira.
