Creating a Cancellation Workflow for the Issue Category

 

Creating a cancellation workflow in the category will allow you to close out any duplicate, or no longer needed issue records. This helps prevent you from needing to delete the item from the application. Stages and transitions can only be edited when the category is in a draft state; if it is currently active, you will need to make a new version first.

 

Creating a Cancelled Stage

Open the stage and transitions option in the category settings.

Click on the blue plus (+) button to add a new stage. Name the stage Cancelled and check the box for final stage and save.

Add a new transition to the cancelled stage in all stages within the category and save. Now, users will have the ability to cancel the record, if needed, during any stage of the workflow.
