The primary goal of conditional fields is to eliminate clutter by only showing questions when they are applicable. Fields remain hidden until you select a specific option, ensuring you only see the information relevant to your task. Simply, the rule is: If you pick a certain option in Field A, then Field B will either appear or become required.
Creating New Conditional Fields
From the draft category, navigate to the stage that needs conditional fields. Click on add a field to this stage. Create all of the stage fields first. The parent field can only be a single selection, multiple selection, or yes/no field; the child field can be any type.
After all stage fields are created, the conditions can be added to the fields. Navigate to the parent stage field that will have conditional fields. Click the edit icon next to the stage field name and toggle on the conditional fields option. Next, add the condition and dependency rules.
Once you have successfully added conditions and dependency rules, all child (dependent) stage fields will have an eyeball icon next to it.
Updating Existing Stage Fields to Conditional Fields
Before starting, you will need to create a new draft of the category. Navigate to the stage that you would like to update to have conditional fields. Click on the edit icon next to the parent stage field and you can update the conditions as needed.
