Creating & Completing an Issue Task

 

Creating Issue Record Tasks

Tasks can be created in the details section of the record for future stages. Tasks for open stages can be made in the stage itself.

A new window will open. You will be asked to provide:

  • Title/short description of the task
  • The stage in which you would like to assign the task to
  • A due date 

When all information is filled in, click on the create button.

The task screen will open.

Fill in the details and add a task assignee. Click start task if the stage for the task is open. If the stage is not open yet, the task will remain in a draft state. Once the stage opens, the task will auto update to an active state. 

 

Completing an Issue Task

All task assignments can be accessed from the user's assignment status chart on the main dashboard. Clicking on the tasks bar in the chart will drill down the data table. To access the task, click on the task ID.

Fill in the information and, when ready, sign off on the task for completion. The task assignee is the only user that needs to sign. If ad hoc approval steps need added, they can be added here.

Note: The task must be completed or marked as not implemented in order to move on to the next stage. The only way to reopen a task is to revert all signatures for that stage. This will reopen the stage, allowing you to enter Super Editor Access mode for the task, cancel the task’s workflow, and select the option to revert it to draft.
