Managing Stage Assignees and Workflows

Once you have built out your stage/transition process, you will be able to add stage assignee and workflows.

Stage Assignees are notified when a stage is launched and responsible for completing the stage content. Each stage must have at least one assignee. Stage owners are chosen from the list of authorized individuals or groups.

Under each stage in your change control category you will see a mceclip0.png button.  When you click on this button the window below will appear:

You do not need to add both a single user and a role, there only has to be a single user or role assigned. After defining stage owners, you will configure workflows to progress to the next stage by clicking on the mceclip2.png.

You will create a name for the signature step and choose what action the user or group needs to take; Needs to Sign or Needs to View. If you choose "Needs to Sign" more fields will populate:

Signature Reason - you must create customized signature reason

Authorized User and/or Authorized Roles - choose users/roles who will be authorized to complete these signatures

Step Options - you can choose if you want this step to be able to be delegated and/or if this step requires a comment.

Click Save when you have completed the signature step. To create another step click on the mceclip2.png.

Once you have multiple steps created you can arrange the signing order. Multiple steps can be assigned at once by updating the Stage #s to match.
