How To Clear Your Cache

In many cases when users are having trouble, a root cause is an out of date browser or the need to clear cache.  You should refer to your internal IT team as a first line of support, but just in case you want to know yourself below is some information.

Clear cache/cookies in IE

  • Click the Gear icon in your browser window and select Internet Options.
    • On the General tab-- in Browsing History make sure the check box for "Delete browsing history on exit" is NOT checked
    • Click the Delete button to instantly get rid of history, passwords, cookies, cached data (called Temporary Internet files and website files)Select the Tools button, point to Safety, and then select Delete browsing history.
    • Make sure to select "Temporary Internet Files and website files" and "Cookies and website data" options then click DELETE button
      • Make sure that the "Preserve Favorites website data" is unchecked


    • When you return to the Internet Options tab, click APPLY. 
    • Go to to refresh the page & log in.

Clear cache/cookies in Chrome

  • Select History > Show Full History from menu (Command Y or Ctlr Y should bring you to same place)
    • Select "Clear Browsing Data" option from left side
  • Or enter this URL: chrome://settings/clearBrowserData
  • Set option to "the beginning of time"
  • Make sure Cookies and Cache are both selected.
  • Click CLEAR BROWSING DATA button 
  • Go to to refresh the page & log in.

  • Click History in menu and the select Clear Recent History
  • Set Time Range to Clear to EVERYTHING
  • Make sure Cookies and Cache are both selected.
  • Click CLEAR NOW button
  • Go to to refresh the page & log in.
