File types and formats allowed to be uploaded in ZenQMS

You can upload most any file type into your ZenQMS account either as a document source file or attachment.   

Generally, files selected for upload will be checked for problematic characters in the file name, including these:

• / : * ? | < > " ^ ` % # ~ [ ] & $ @ + =  ; , {} ^ - 

ZenQMS supports video file uploads.  In order for them to be played back in the system, they need to be one of these formats and uploaded as originals (e.g. not as part of a zip file): mp4, ogg, and webm

Files content in uploaded files may also need to be converted to PDF for various exports from the application OR scanned for keyword search functions.  Files that do not support PDF conversion will be exported in a blank page with message: The file 'file-name.zip' does not allow PDF export. Please log into the https://app.zenqms.com to view or download it electronically.
