Draft reviews are systematic evaluations of a document, typically conducted to gather feedback, ensure accuracy, improve clarity, and verify compliance with guidelines or standards. Authors can initiate a draft review on any of their draft documents.
Initiating a Draft Review
Authorized users can initiate a draft review, by selecting launch draft review at the document level:
Any active user can be selected to be a draft reviewer of the item. Select as many users as you wish to complete the draft review from the dropdown:
After all of the users are selected for the draft review, please click launch draft review:
Completing a Draft Review
On the Main Dashboard, the user that is requested to complete the draft review will have a signature needed:
Select the documents signature needed:
The screen will drill down. Click on the document Key ID that needs to be draft reviewed:
The item will open in the draft review window. You can use the draft tools to mark the document and add comments as needed.
Once you have finished with the review, click submit. If you want to cancel the draft review, click cancel this review:
After the first selected reviewer is finished, the next user will get the notification to start their draft review. All users that perform the document review after the initial reviewer will see all the previous mark ups done by other users. When the review is finished, the document will have a reviewed status on the full table:
Authors can see all of the draft review edits by clicking the review and suggested edits icon in the document viewer:
When the slider box opens, click the view link:
The author can see all markups and comments that were added during the draft review process and can use these review suggestions/edits during the next document revision process:
Draft Review Notifications
User notifications for documents are configured under Settings - Notifications. Notifications are set at the individual user level:
